About Shiphouse

Even if captaining a ship isn't your idea of the ideal vacation, Shiphouse is the place to be. Built-in 1973 and recently remodeled with all the modern conveniences you could need, Shiphouse has an open-concept great room with expansive windows overlooking the 585-square-foot deck.

Standing on the generous deck, you'll feel like you're on the prow of a ship with the salty sea wind blowing in your hair. Inside, the beautifully furnished interior gives you plenty of room to spread out and its pleasant nautical décor might even inspire you to break out in a sea shanty.

In addition to the expansive windows, the great room has plush sofas - one of which opens to a full-sized sleeper, a gas fireplace to take the chill off cooler evenings, and a smart TV with access to cable. The kitchen shares the open space and features a full suite of stainless appliances - electric stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Cooking enthusiasts will find plenty of dinnerware, pots and pans for meals. If you have a grill master in your group, the new gas barbecue will inspire some fabulous meals.

And you won't be crowded into at tiny berth when it's time to sleep. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the second with a full. The full bathroom downstairs has a great shower and there's a convenient powder room on the second floor. All towels and linens are provided.

Up to two dogs are welcome with our standard, per dog, per night fee.

This timeless, rustic, two-story home rests in the Salt Aire Shores Community, just a 10-minute walk from the Pacific, where you can enjoy agate and shell hunting, clam digging, crabbing and surf fishing. There are also opportunities for hunting in the area. Because we are away from the big city, de-stressing is easy! If you are looking for events, head over to Downtown Grayland, where you can catch a local art walk or its Pirate Days event.
